The Mariposa Museum, 26 Main St. in Peterborough, will host a free program Wednesday, April 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. featuring the Gaia Shabad, a prayer for corn, grain and rain, rooted in Sikh tradition. The event will be led by Gwir and Abhai Raj Llewellyn, who have shared a meditative music practice since 2012.

The Gaia Shabad reflects a time of drought and community prayer that led to renewal of the land. The practice evolved into langar, a shared meal served at every Sikh Gurdwara.

The Llewellyns, who perform as Sat Purkh, have recorded 11 albums of sacred music and draw from Sikh gurbani and other traditions.

Donations are encouraged. For tickets and information, visit mariposamuseum.org.
