New Ipswich Television (NITV) has expanded its capabilities to include high-definition (HD) broadcasting.
In addition to the current Comcast Channel 22 (standard) programming, HD programming can be found on Comcast Channel 1071. NITV services New Ipswich Comcast customers with public, educational and governmental programs.
The studio, and all programming functions, are operated by New Ipswich volunteers. The station, its studio and equipment, program production and operating expenses are funded by Comcast subscribers’ franchise fees. All residents of New Ipswich are encouraged to volunteer and help expand and improve current programming.
Among the shows that will be appearing on both Channel 22 and Channel 1071 are the holiday programs performed and recorded by students and staff at the various Mascenic schools this December. The shows will air on Christmas Eve and Christmas. Specific air times will be determined once performances have been completed.
