The town of Rindge has 12 open positions for various town boards and committees in 2017.
A three-year term on the Select Board is up for grabs. Robert Hamilton currently holds the seat.
The town’s treasurer position is open in 2017. Helene G. Rogers is the incumbent and the position is for three years.
Nancy Martin’s town clerk position is up this year. The town clerk serves a three-year term.
Tax collector, another three-year term, is also up for a vote this year. Carol E. Donovan currently holds the position.
Two seats on the Planning Board – currently held by Jonah Ketola and Sam Bouchie – are open for re-election. Each is a three-year term.
Two three-year terms on the Budget Advisory Committee are up for a vote this year. Andrew Alajajian and Sharon Rasku are the incumbents.
One seat is up for grabs on the Zoning Board, Library Trustees, Trustees of the Trust Funds, and Cemetery Trustees. Each position is a three-year term. Incumbents are William Thomas (Zoning), Richard Isakson (library), Jeannette G. Gutteridge (trust funds), and Kenneth Raymond (cemetery).
The first day to file declarations of candidacy or nomination petitions with the town clerk is Wednesday, Jan. 25. The last day for filing is Friday, Feb. 3.
The town election will be held on Tuesday, March 14, at Rindge Memorial School from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
