Hancock Town Library and GEP Dodge Library in Bennington are sponsoring “Waterfalls of the White Mountains: An Evening with Bruce Bolnick” Thursday, Sept 23, at 7 p.m. via Zoom.
The presentation is a guided tour of the waterfalls of the White Mountains with author Bruce Bolnick, and also features anecdotes about production of the book, hiking tips and some history of the White Mountain region. Bolnick is lead author of “Waterfalls of the White Mountains: 30 Hikes to 100 Waterfalls.” The recently released third edition is a major revision to the hiking guide that first came out in 1990.
Aside from his professional work as an economist, Bolnick has been hiking in the White Mountains for decades. He is also a volunteer naturalist for the Appalachian Mountain Club, and volunteer nature guide at Mass Audubon’s Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield. The event is free and open to all, but will not take place unless there are 20 people registered. To register for the Zoom link, send email to hancocklibrary@comcast.net or call 603-525-4411.
