To the editor:
Thank you to all of the students, parents and taxpayers who came to the November 5th ConVal School Board Meeting to support a solar project at ConVal high school!
Thank you to our school board who carefully challenged us to craft a project that maximizes roof space, does not cost more than the district currently pays, and is educationally valuable.
Thank you for listening to our proposal, and voting YES to negotiate and sign a letter of intent to move this project forward. Thank you to student council volunteers who counted every single light at the high school to help us better understand current and future energy use patterns.
Thank you to Tim Grossi, ConVal staff and energy broker Bob Hayden for answering so many questions!
Thank you to the Peterborough Energy Committee and the many community members who volunteered countless hours to work on this project!
We are so lucky to have skilled volunteers whose commitment to this community is an inspiration! You have brought this project so far! I am so happy with this progress, and look forward to continuing to work with all of you as the district-wide vote to approve this project approaches!
