To the editor:

What a beautiful fall day we were blessed with for the Peak Into Peterborough festivities on October 19th!

On behalf of the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, we would like to extend sincere gratitude to the Peak Into Peterborough committee members that successfully planned and executed this year’s event: Mindy Taylor and Erika Rogers, Co-Chairs; Pelagia Vincent, Event Coordinator; Megan Suokko, Dog Parade; Karen Files, Vendor Coordinator; Alison Sylvia Kreutz and Kristin Bixby, Town Coordinators; Wesley Maggs from the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript; Katie Copeland, Franklin Pierce University Volunteer Coordinator; Kim Graham from Go Monadnock, and the Chamber office volunteers, Belen Lee, Will Peirce, Rory Hickey, and Ginks Leiby.

The involvement and effort required to make an event such as this success requires coordination between partners and extensive planning.

We’d like to thank Virginia Dickenson, Graphic Designer, for her wonderful map and schedule of events that helped people navigate throughout the activities held all over town.

Many thanks also go out to the entertainers, vendors, non-profits, businesses, and volunteers that were such a critical part of the days success! From Peak Into Wellness to the Balloon Twisters to the Flying Gravity Circus to Hot Mess and the FolkSoul Band to M.A.M.A., this year’s event had something for everyone and was truly a day of celebrating this beautiful region we live in. Earth Haven Farm provided two beautiful horses and a blue painted wagon for the rides around town. The wagon was full all day with families and couples touring the downtown, seeing the sights.

Thank you to Tenney Farm for delivering the pumpkins for decorating and to Karl Eckilson for the hay delivery and pick up. Thank you to Dave Cromie, Mike Ambrosini, and Gunner Buzzell from the Town of Peterborough for their assistance in hanging the Peak Into Peterborough banners throughout town.  A special thank you also goes to the following businesses who helped finance portions of this event.

The Depot Square Merchants Association sponsored the hayride. Cy Gregg sponsored the FolkSoul Band who gave a great performance to the folks in the Depot Square area. And, The Little River B&B who sponsored pumpkin painting in Putnam Park. And of course to all those who purchased a new banner or renewed their banner, we owe a debt of gratitude as they support this special fall foliage celebration event annually.

Sincerely,

Laura Akerley
