The Historical Society of Cheshire County will be showing “Country Corners,” an award-winning 1976 documentary on New England contra dancing, on Wednesday, April 13, at 6:30 p.m.

Filmed in New Hampshire, the documentary was originally aired nationally on PBS.

The film features local tunesmith the late Bob McQuillen, Dudley Laufman and the Canterbury Orchestra, The Ed Larkin Dancers of Tunbridge, Vermont, and Jack Perron with Rodney and Randy Miller in Nelson.

The film’s cinematographer Robert Fiore will help lead a discussion following the screening.
