PETERBOROUGHBerger to perform at library

Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., will host Marc Berger and his trio at its next outdoor concert Thursday, July 20, at 6:30 p.m. on the River Terrace.

The group will perform songs from Berger’s American Western album, “Ride.”

Berger’s music is a mix of country folk songs with touches of bluegrass, roots and Americana. His lifelong love of the West inspired him to use his travels to create a set of songs that explore the myths of the West and how they intersect with modern culture.

Berger has performed at Austin’s South by Southwest Music Festival and the Kerrville and Falcon Ridge folk festivals and has opened shows for Bob Dylan and other national acts.

Patrons are encouraged to pack a picnic and pull up a chair. The show will take place rain or shine and move inside if needed.

The library will host the FolkSoul Band on Aug. 3.  All shows are free and open to all ages.
