Weston Saari, an eighth-grader at Heritage Christian School in Rindge, was honored as Student of the Month during a recent Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club breakfast meeting at Franklin Pierce University.
Student of the Month Committee Chair Sam LaFortune presented the award, recognizing Saari for his academic performance, leadership, and character. Saari attended the gathering alongside his teacher Mr. Hayes, parents Krista and Matt Saari, his sister, and his grandmother.
During the meeting, the club announced it raised $2,000 for Nepal relief efforts through individual member contributions and matching club funds. In coordination with a matching gift initiative from the Grand Monadnock Rotary Club, the funds will be directed to the Rotary Club of Kathmandu in Nepal.
