Freshman Ari Pape led the way as the ConVal Regional High School boys cross country team placed 14th overall at the NHIAA Division II Championship meet Saturday at Derryfield Park in Manchester.
Pape once again set the pace for the Cougars, navigating the hilly 5-kilometer course in 19 minutes, 53 seconds to finish 60th overall.
Will Ricaurte, Van Stahlin, Vinny Hollenbeck, Marcus Jordan, Jeff Belcourt, and Bradley Allen rounded out the varsity field for ConVal, delivering strong pack support against the state’s top Division II competition.
With five of their top seven runners eligible to return next fall, the Cougars head into the offseason positioned to push up the leaderboard next season.
