Ingalls Memorial Library will host the New Hampshire Society of Genealogists for a presentation at noon Friday, Sept. 18, at the Rindge Meeting House, 6 Payson Hill Road. Attendees of the Learn @ Lunch program are invited to bring their own meals.
Using a dramatic 1788 tavern killing in New Durham as a case study, the lecture will demonstrate how researchers reconstruct historical narrative. The presentation examines original sources – including newspapers, court and military records, and petitions – to trace the intertwined lives of three Revolutionary War veterans and illuminate local history.
The one-hour adult enrichment program is open to anyone ages 16 and older.
