Kelley Akerley of Hancock is one of seven recent Kalamazoo College graduates who have earned Fulbright awards to pursue global opportunities for the 2026-27 academic year.
Akerley will participate in the U.S. Teaching Assistantship Program in Austria, which is administered by Fulbright Austria on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education. She will teach English at an agricultural school in Upper Austria.
Kalamazoo College, located in Kalamazoo, Mich., has been recognized as a top-producing institution for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program in six of the last seven years.
