The Greenfield Conservation Commission will host a program on birdscaping presented by Gail Coffey, a University of New Hampshire Master Gardener, on Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the Stephenson Memorial Libraryโs Wensberg Room.
The program will focus on creating landscapes that attract birds and pollinators. Coffey will discuss the benefits of planting native perennials, shrubs and trees to provide sustainable habitat while enhancing residential landscapes.
Coffey has more than 20 years of experience in eco-landscaping, with an emphasis on creating habitats for birds and insects using native plants. She previously worked in wildlife conservation for 14 years with The Nature Conservancyโs New Hampshire chapter and NH Audubon. She served as an environmental educator at Beaver Brook Association in Hollis for 15 years.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, email concom@greenfield-nh.gov or call 603-547-5606.
