The Loom, Poetry in Harrisville will host poets David Rivard and Scott Withiam at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at Chesham and Harrisville Community Church, known as the “Brick Church,” 13 Canal Street, Harrisville.
The reading is open to the public and free.
Rivard and Withiam are featured as “two bracing poets” in the announcement. Rivard has drawn praise from Robert Pinsky and Katie Peterson, while Withiam has been praised by Sven Birkerts, Richard Hoffman and Clare M. Rossini.
Organizers invite attendees to hear the poets and meet them in the restored church setting.
