No Kings, some hope
The No Kings rally coming up — says a lot right there. It should read no crooks, no fascists, no war, no selling off pristine lands, or yes to climate concerns, yes to allowing young families to have affordable health insurance, or, on occasion, maybe, food assistance. November is eight months away. This country’s future is tied to that month. So I ask you to remember this:
Gas/fuel oil prices for the wealthy oil companies because of an illegal war. Killing hundreds to gain access to more oil. Remember Venezuela. The alleged drug runners, more deaths. Certainly not the pro-life guy he proclaims to be.
Remember his insults to everyone and thanking God that a former Marine, Purple Heart recipient and director of the FBI was dead. Remember, too, how little regard the entire world has for our country now. We cannot be isolationists on one hand and kidnapping foreign leaders on the other. Consider the economies of blue states and how he not only threatened but then tried to withhold federal money because they were blue and then look at where the greatest educational centers are located.
If you are on Social Security or Medicaid, are you keeping up with those concerns? Scary.
Yes, immigration needs to be figured out. Killing Americans is not part of that plan, I hope. Is there a policy aside from jack-booted thugs behind masks breaking down doors and taking kids from their parents? Where’s the policy, the plan?
I ask, too, that you remember the oath of office every legislator swears, about obeying the Constitution etc. Remember the emolument clause. It’s there for a reason. And please remember the Epstein debacle and his attorney general. Decorum has left the building.
