A Londonderry man was arrested Friday morning and faces multiple charges after barricading himself in a Marlborough home with a handgun for several hours.
State troopers responded at 6:02 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, to Mountain Drive to assist the Marlborough Police Department
Earlier Friday morning, Feb. 20, police from Marlborough, with assistance from members of the Jaffrey and Keene police departments, responded to a reported domestic-related incident involving a man with a handgun.
Officers approached the home to try to talk with the man, identified as James Salisbury, 31, of Londonderry, but he did not respond and remained barricaded inside. Marlborough officers then asked for help from the New Hampshire State Police, and members of the Peterborough and Dublin police departments, Cheshire County Sheriffโs Office, Cheshire County Emergency Medical Services, Marlborough Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
State troopers responded just after 6 a.m. and took the lead in the standoff. Just after 11:30 a.m., Salisbury surrendered and was taken into custody.
Salisbury has been charged with felony criminal threatening (domestic violence), criminal trespass, and breach of bail. Police also determined Salisbury had two active warrants. He remains held and was scheduled to appear in Keene District Court on Monday, Feb. 23.
