Applications are open for the 2026 New England Journalism Scholarship Program, which offers scholarships of up to $2,000 to high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing a career in journalism.

The program is administered by the Journalism Education Foundation of New England and the New England Newspaper & Press Association. Eligible applicants must be residents of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont. Students may attend college outside New England, but residency determines eligibility. Graduate students are not eligible.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit a cover letter, transcript, rรฉsumรฉ or biography, letter of recommendation, and at least three published or class-produced journalism pieces.
