While perusing all the mail from nonprofits that we receive (having donated to most of them in the past), I determined that all I really have to do is donate to any and all Democratic causes and candidates forever. What I normally do is donate to NPR, UNICEF, WWF, SIERRA Club, etc. If I just vote and donate to Democratic candidates for the rest of my life, that would almost assuredly mean that alternative energy like Northern Pass and all environmental issues that affect all living things could be addressed. Social Security would be saved. Criminals wouldn’t be criminally pardoned. Voting like that could preserve our democracy and address environmental issues the world faces.
The Democratic Party is not perfect and doesn’t do everything well. They occasionally make mistakes. Sometimes a representative may be corrupt. Fraud exists. Look at the White House; the pre-eminent fraudster in chief. He’s ripped off hundreds of contractors, thousands of students and been fined millions and millions of dollars for tax and insurance fraud. He’s asked people to be fraudulent for him. Some have maintained their integrity, and to them I say, thank you; you are brave and deserve our respect. Others are the media liars.
The Supreme Court has fractured the very foundation of our nation with its Citizens United ruling. News flash: Corporations are not people. That opened the floodgates of money, grifted from the middle class to buy elections. We need to shut that down. We need to take our nation back with our purchasing power and our votes. We need to insist on environmental sanity and economic maturity. None of this tariff up and down baloney. We can be the beacon of light we once were. Or the dangerous clown show we have now. What Justice Department?
