Sununu negative for us
John Sununu has Musk money backing his race in Manchester, and now people are being hired to push his election here in Peterborough. Is this what the people of Our Town want for you? Sununu has already said he wants able-bodied people on Medicare so those 65 and older have to work, and he wants to privatize Social Security. We have worked for decades and to demand we keep working is not in a democratic society’s values. Putting our retirement money in the market is no justice to us; look at what happened in the 2008 downturn; what would the checks that give us our Earned Income look like in downturns?
There is enough money at the top of corporate and rich America that we do not need to keep putting money up there while we all struggle to pay more and more as we battle with the expenses of living. Groceries, gasoline, property taxes, healthcare, heating fuels and schools are at the top of lists for many of the people whom I speak with while visiting their doors. It is getting too expensive to live here. Do you want more of your money going to people like Sununu who want to jeopardize our seniors’ lives and make each of our families pay more out of your struggling purses to live here?
