Don’t place rhetoric over results on Nov. 3
I have known Candidate Tim Coffin for many years and like him. Putting that aside, why would Francestown and Deering voters want to replace someone like Mary Murphy, who has an amazing track record of success advocating for our towns in Concord?
Representative Murphy passed five bills in her first term, proof she quickly learned the legislative process and persuaded others to support her ideas. She developed solutions to some of the state’s most challenging problems. She protected local control and shielded us from new taxes. There are state representatives who have decades of experience and are not half as effective.
Why should we replace her with someone who is running as an Independent, who, if he were elected, would be one of only two Independents in the State House with zero experience, zero relationships, and no influence to secure important committee appointments? (I have reviewed his website and his debate performance, and I cannot see any “Independent” positions different from Democrat positions. He’s a Democrat running as an Independent.) Coffin has no detailed plans and is running on “invented problems,” such as “polarizing politics” and a need to “work across the aisle,” which Representative Mary Murphy has already done successfully. Rep. Murphy’s NH Advantage 2.0 strategy will be a boon to New Hampshire while protecting our rural character and reducing property taxes long-term. She already has Democrats, Republicans, state agencies and the business community lining up in support of this plan. This broad and growing support is unprecedented.
The debate in Francestown on 10/7/2026 demonstrated to me that Rep. Murphy was the teacher, and Tim Coffin was the student. I urge people to re-elect Representative Mary Murphy. She has been a very effective advocate for our towns.
