New Hampshire Conservation Officers rescued five young hikers off Boynton Hill Road in New Ipswich on Sunday night after the group lost their way along the Wapack Trail without proper outdoor gear.

The hikers were identified as Collin Harrison, 21, Emma Christie, 18, Camdin Norton, 19, and Jeremiah Soto, 20, all of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, alongside Mason Gendron, 18, of Ashby, Massachusetts.

State Conservation Officers were dispatched at approximately 7:54 p.m. after the stranded group called for help. Responders located the uninjured hikers about 900 feet from the nearest roadway.

According to Fish and Game officials, the group was collectively unprepared for the hike.
