Monadnock Peer Support has received $890 from the Keene Kiwanis Foundation to support the launch of Monadnock Youth Connect, a pilot youth peer support program for middle and high school students throughout the Monadnock Region.

The program provides free, non-clinical peer support facilitated by trained young adults with lived experience of mental health challenges. Programming will focus on wellness, emotional regulation, healthy coping strategies, and social connection through recurring support groups and partnerships with schools and community organizations.

The initiative marks the second consecutive year of funding support from the Keene Elm City Rotary. Because current state-funded services are restricted to adults, private philanthropy and community partnerships are required to fund the youth program.
