Brian Stimpson, a certified medical assistant at Monadnock Community Hospital, was named Medical Assistant of the Year by the American Association of Medical Assistants during the group’s 70th annual conference in Reno, Nev., on Sept. 14.
Stimpson, who works at Monadnock Orthopaedics Associates, was selected for the award following a nomination by the New Hampshire State Society of Medical Assistants. A member of the national association for 13 years, he has served on its boards and committees since 2016 and currently chairs the Conference Continuing Education Task Force.
A 13-year veteran of the medical assisting field with a background in neurology, dermatology, pediatrics, home care, and a 13-year tenure in the U.S. Army, Stimpson first joined Monadnock Community Hospital in 2021 at Antrim Medical Group before transitioning to orthopedics.
