Incumbent Executive Councilor David Wheeler will speak at a candidate forum hosted by the Antrim-Bennington Lions Club at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, on the second floor of Antrim Town Hall.
Wheeler, representing District 5, will discuss the role of the New Hampshire Executive Council, which checks executive authority by approving major state contracts, confirming or declining judicial and department head nominees, and representing regional interests.
Challenger Melanie Levesque cannot attend because of a prior commitment, but her campaign will read a formal statement to the audience during the event. The forum is open to the public.
