Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services (HCS) has named Jessica Mack and Michael Kolodziej as the recipients of its 2026 Susan G. Ashworth Commitment Award.
Mack, Senior Director of Human Resources and Corporate Compliance Officer, joined HCS in 1997. She has expanded educational support opportunities within the organization, creating professional development pathways for staff to obtain certifications and specialized training. Kolodziej, Associate Director of Clinical Operations, began his career at HCS a decade ago as a newly graduated Registered Nurse. In his current role, he oversees patient care standards while supporting clinical, therapy, administrative, and office staff.
The HCS Board of Directors established the award in 2018 to honor former Director of Community Relations Susan G. Ashworth. Ashworth, who was the inaugural recipient, spent her career launching programs such as Meals on Wheels in Cheshire County, Friendly Meals, City Express, Friendly Bus, and the Castle Center, while also consolidating local visiting nurse groups under HCS.
