MAXT Makerspace hosted “Pixel Perfect” from July 13–17, a youth workshop where students in fifth through eighth grade built custom video games using their own artwork.

Part of the makerspace’s Junior Creative program, the hands-on camp taught students to design game characters, backgrounds, and interactive elements using sculpting, painting, drawing, collage, and laser cutting.

The week culminated with a field trip to Shivoo Studio in Jaffrey, where professional programmers showed participants how to integrate their physical art into side-scrolling video game templates.
