An 18-year-old Sharon resident was arrested Aug. 29 following a high-speed motorcycle pursuit through Marlborough and Dublin on Route 101.
A Marlborough police officer working an overtime grant patrol funded by the N.H. Office of Highway Safety observed a group of motorcycles traveling westbound above the speed limit near Roxbury Road around 8:16 p.m. When the officer initiated a traffic stop, three of the five motorcyclists fled. One rider, operating a red 2024 Honda 450 dirt bike, reversed direction at Route 124 and fled eastbound into Dublin. The pursuit ended near Old County Road when the motorcycle ran out of fuel.
Carson Traffie was arrested without incident and transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections. He faces charges of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying an officer, resisting arrest, and reckless operation. Traffie was later released after posting cash bail, and the motorcycle was impounded by Keene Towing.
The Marlborough Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the other motorcyclists involved to contact the department.
