The Temple Recreation Commission will hold a community celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States on Saturday, Aug. 22, on the town Common.
Festivities officially begin at 3 p.m., featuring live music, games, and performances by members of the Flying Gravity Circus and local musicians. Attendees can also participate in a potluck featuring traditional historical recipes, and commemorative merchandise will be available for purchase.
Community members are invited to drop in throughout the afternoon and evening and are encouraged to bring a prepared dish to share for the potluck.
