The Monadnock Center for History and Culture will host early music ensemble Seven Times Salt on Saturday, Aug. 8, for a concert of 18th-century music titled “From Plimoth to Yorktown.”
The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the center, located at 19 Grove St. in Peterborough.
The ensemble – featuring musicians Julia Soojin Cavallaro, Karen Burciaga, Dan Meyers, Josh Schreiber, and Matthew Wright – will take listeners on a musical journey through early America. The program includes shape-note hymns, 18th-century dance tunes, selections from the Bay Psalm Book, and a “Yankee Doodle” sing-along.
Presented as part of the Monadnock Center’s U.S. 250th program series, the performance is sponsored by The M&T Charitable Foundation.
Tickets cost $25, or $22 for Monadnock Center members, and are available online at monadnockcenter.org.
