Acclaimed jazz pianist and Francestown native Matt Savage will perform a free outdoor concert with his band on Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Old Meeting House of Francestown.

The performance, titled “No Jazz Allowed,” runs from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. as part of the venue’s “Sundays at 4” summer series.

Serving as a preview for an upcoming album, the concert features pop cover songs from the last 50 years reimagined in a straight-ahead jazz format. Savage, known for his virtuosic improvisations and high-energy compositions, will lead his group through a wide range of tempos and styles across modern hits.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic and a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain, the performance will move indoors. While admission is free, donations are welcomed to support the series.
