A Greenville man sustained significant injuries Saturday morning after being thrown from his all-terrain vehicle in a sand pit off Appleton Road, according to officials.
Kevin Parenteau, 55, was riding with two other individuals around 10:15 a.m. when his ATV went airborne briefly and landed perpendicular to its direction of travel, catapulting him from the vehicle, state authorities said. Emergency personnel from the New Ipswich Fire Department, New Ipswich Police Department, Souhegan Valley Ambulance, Peterborough Ambulance, and New Hampshire Fish and Game responded to the scene on private property.
Preliminary investigations indicate operator error contributed to the crash. New Hampshire Fish and Game officers reminded riders to wear helmets and remain within their operational skill limits as the investigation continues.
