The Park Theatre in Jaffrey will mark its fifth anniversary Aug. 5 with a free, daylong marathon of the 1982 film “Tootsie” and a community celebration.
Screenings of the comedy classic, starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange, will run continuously starting at 10 a.m. at 19 Main St.
At 5 p.m., the theater will host a public celebration featuring live music, remarks, raffles, and cake, capped at the first 100 guests. Admission to the anniversary event and screenings is free, with no tickets required.
The nonprofit performing arts center, which originally opened in 1922, reopened in 2021 after a complete rebuild. The venue features the 330-seat Eppes Auditorium, the 55-seat King Screening Room and Cabaret, and a 30-seat lounge space.
