Monadnock Music will present “Memory and Transformation,” a free classical concert featuring works by living composers, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Mariposa Museum.

The 45-minute program features Swedish composer Andrea Tarrodi’s String Quartet No. 1 “Miroirs,” Peterborough native Molly Herron’s “Three Sarabandes,” and Osvaldo Golijov’s “Tenebrae.”

The ensemble features Monadnock Music Director Rafael Popper-Keizer on cello, alongside violinists Clara Lyon and Yeolim Nam, and violist Anna Griffis.

Following the free concert, Monadnock Music will host a ticketed Summer Supper Club dinner at 6 p.m. at a private residence in Peterborough. Limited to 25 guests, the event will feature an interactive menu inspired by the program’s themes and offer opportunities to meet Herron and the performing musicians.

Supper Club tickets are $100 per person, or $85 for Monadnock Music members. Reservations are required.
