The Edge Ensemble Theatre Company will present David Mamet’s play “American Buffalo” as part of its Edge Café staged reading series on Saturday, Aug. 1, and Sunday, Aug. 2.
Directed by Scott Rodenhauser, the production features actors Damien Licata, Bruce Holloway, and Jonathan Benney. Known for its rhythmic, vernacular-heavy dialogue, Mamet’s drama explores themes of loyalty and greed centered around three men planning a coin heist.
Performances are scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at The Edge Theater, located at 310 Marlboro St., Suite 112.
Admission is $12 for general audience members and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets will be sold at the door on a first-come, first-served basis via cash or check only; reservations will not be accepted. Organizers advise viewer discretion due to explicit language.
