Community members gathered downtown to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a series of traditional, family-friendly festivities.

The event featured a public reading of a portion of the Declaration of Independence, delivered by Rowan Simmon to the crowd from the town’s central gazebo.

Following the reading, attendees gathered for refreshments, which included pie served by Amy Markus. The celebration concluded with local children walking downtown to ring the bell at the historic community church.
