Locals gathered for an Old-Fashioned Fourth of July to celebrate 250 years of the United States of America hosted by The Monadnock Center for History and Culture on Saturday.
The day consisted of a classic car cruise-in, reading of the Declaration of Independence, old-fashioned games and ice cream, a community contradance and a 1876 Baseball Game to finish it off.
In addition to traditional American fun, the 10th annual Art Walk in the Park took place in Putnam and Depot Park. With local musicians spread out across downtown as participants perused the talent of local artisans and ate lunch at an old-fashioned cookout at Roy’s Market.
