Kiera Gilman of Francestown, and Maggie Zavgren of Wilton, were among the 7,000 students who received degrees during the University of Alabama’s spring commencement ceremonies in May.

The ceremonies were held at Coleman Coliseum on the university campus. Gilman graduated with a Bachelor of Science, while Zavgren earned a Master of Fine Arts.

The University of Alabama, the state’s flagship university and largest higher education institution, offers more than 200 degree programs and features more than 30 research centers on its campus.
