Jaffrey Grade School honored dedicated volunteer Tammy Shea for her long-time service to the school community over the past 15 years, last week.
Shea has served as both a member of the Parents Group and as its president, including through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
โHer commitment to our school has touched countless students, families, and staff members. She has created beautiful bulletin boards throughout the school, stocked the teachersโ room with coffee and supplies, and consistently found thoughtful ways to make staff feel appreciated,โ said Parents Group member Colleen Ringer.
Shea has also organized and supported events for the students, including the Back-to-School Boogie, the Halloween Fun Run, the Scholastic Book Bonanza and monthly movie nights.
Shea was recognized for her contributions in a ceremony at Jaffrey Grade School on June 17, as her youngest daughter was prepared to graduate from JGS and move on to Conant Middle High School.
During the ceremony, staff members, family, and community members gathered to recognize her contributions and present her with a commemorative plaque. The plaque will be placed beside a bulletin board thatย Shea seasonally transforms with the names of all JGS learners.
