The Peterborough Town Library is launching two recurring art programs aimed at helping community members connect and create in a relaxed setting.
Sketch Club, open to artists ages 12 and older, will meet every other Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a sketchpad and drawing tool for an hour of focused sketching. The next session is scheduled for June 25.
The program is led by volunteer Risa Swanson, who has taught drawing, painting and linoleum block printing in schools and private studios.
The library is also introducing The Scrap Heap: Analog Collage & Mixed Media Meet-Up, a monthly gathering for ages 16 and older. The group will meet on the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m., beginning June 25.
Led by volunteer Erin Morrow, the program will provide magazines, scissors, glue and other materials for participants interested in collage and mixed-media art. Attendees may also bring their own projects and supplies.
Both programs are free and open to the public, and registration is not required.
The Peterborough Town Library is located at 2 Concord St. For more information, visit PeterboroughTownLibrary.org or call 603-924-8040.
