The Peterborough Town Library will host a presentation on green burial practices from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 25.
The program, “A Growing Movement โ Green Burials for Earth Stewardship,” will be presented by Rev. Kathleen V. Rouleau, a registered nurse, hospice nurse, death doula and end-of-life educator with more than 30 years of experience.
Rouleau will discuss environmentally conscious alternatives to conventional burial practices and the growing interest in green burials. The presentation will explore how natural burial methods can reduce carbon footprints, support ecological cycles, preserve land and contribute to the restoration of wildlife habitats and native plant life.
The program is free and open to the public, and registration is not required.
The Peterborough Town Library is located at 2 Concord St. Organizers note that library parking is limited and encourage attendees, when possible, to use public parking in the Depot Square or Riverwalk lots.
