Students walked from the school to the field, where members of the Dublin Police Department, Dublin Fire Department and Harrisville Police Chief Matt Perry joined them for the event. Parents also participated.
First responders prepared the field by marking lines, setting up tents to provide shade and displaying a welcome sign for students. The afternoon concluded with watermelon for participants.
School officials said the event highlighted the strong support the school receives from the community.
