Mascenic sent two runners to the Meet of Champions at Oyster River High School on Saturday, but only one qualified for the New England Championships in North Berwick, Maine, on June 13. Erin O’Shea earned a spot at New Englands by placing fifth in the 1,600-meter run in 5 minutes, 8.70 seconds, a personal-record time. Kaitlin O’Shea placed 10th in the 800-meter run in 2:21.71, also a personal record, and broke her own school record in the event.
