Dublin Christian Academy celebrated its 62nd commencement ceremony May 30, marking a milestone as the school surpassed 1,000 graduates in its history.

The graduation ceremony honored 19 members of the Class of 2026, bringing the school’s total number of alumni past the 1,000 mark. The event, originally scheduled to take place outdoors, was moved inside due to an unusual late-spring storm that brought rain and snow to the region. School officials said it was the first commencement in the academy’s history to feature snowfall.
The graduating class included nine international students from China and Peru. Timothy Jin was named valedictorian and Nathan Johnson was named salutatorian.
The commencement address was delivered by Dr. Rand Hummel, staff evangelist for The Wilds, Inc., who encouraged graduates to ground their identities in their faith and the teachings of Scripture.
Founded in 1964, Dublin Christian Academy is a private prekindergarten-through-grade-12 Christian day and boarding school in Dublin. School officials said the milestone reflects more than six decades of academic and spiritual education.
