The community hosted a Food Truck night at Mascenic High School Friday night to fundraise to support Boynton Middle School sports. Local food truck vendors supported the event by donating a portion of proceeds and tips to the cause.

The sports and activities budget was cut for the coming year after a March Town Meeting vote failed the proposed school budget, putting the district into a default budget. Since then, fundraising has been ongoing to provide sports seasons. At the end of May, community members who have been helping organize fundraising announced a major milestone โ€” reaching the $10,800 threshold for funding fall sports, which includesfield hockey, soccer, volleyball and cross country.

To further help Boynton sports, the community has set up a GoFundMe page at gofundme.com/f/help-save-boynton-middle-school-sports.
