A Swanzey man was killed Friday morning in a head-on crash involving a Monadnock Regional School District bus carrying students to school in Marlborough.

First responders from multiple Monadnock region towns, including Peterborough, were dispatched to the scene near Webb Depot Road and Route 12 at about 7:12 a.m.

According to New Hampshire State Police, a school bus driven by James French, 77, of Keene, was traveling north on Route 12 when it was struck head-on by a red 2008 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by David Peloski, 74.
