The Peterborough Town Library will take part in the 31st Annual Children and the Arts Festival on Saturday, May 16, with a full day of performances, exhibits and family activities.

This yearโ€™s festival theme is โ€œLet Your Garden Grow!โ€ The free downtown event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include live music, demonstrations, hands-on activities, exhibits and a parade at noon. A pancake breakfast is scheduled from 7 to 9:30 a.m.

Library events will include a performance by the CVHS Trouble Clefs Choir at 10:15 a.m. in the 1833 Room, the โ€œGrowing off the Pageโ€ art exhibit in the Elizabeth Room and the โ€œWeeds to Bloomsโ€ Community Art Gallery exhibit, both available all day.

Additional activities include a StoryWalk featuring โ€œMy Gardenโ€ by Kevin Henkes on the River Terrace and a โ€œRead Me a Story Spaceโ€ on the library portico throughout the day.

The festival is presented in downtown Peterborough in partnership with community organizations, including the Kiwanis Club and Children and the Arts.
