A town-wide clean-up day is scheduled in Greenfield for Sunday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with organizers encouraging residents to help prepare the community for America’s 250th anniversary.
The event is being led by the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. Volunteers will work throughout the day to collect litter and spruce up public areas.
Community members of all ages are invited to participate. Organizers say the effort is part of a broader initiative to beautify the town ahead of the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration.
