The Bennington Conservation Commission has announced the winners of its 2026 Earth Day poster contest.
The winning poster was created by Jayce Young and Clara Regis, fourth-grade students at Pierce School in Bennington.
The commission also thanked volunteers who participated in the town’s Earth Day cleanup on Saturday. While most helpers were Bennington residents of all ages, volunteers also came from Weare and Antrim.
Crews collected debris from roadside gardens in the village, and teams worked along roadsides gathering cans, bottles and other litter discarded in recent months. Officials said the effort left the town noticeably cleaner.
