Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services will hold its 15th annual Butterfly Release in June, offering community members an opportunity to honor or remember loved ones.

The event will take place on three days and is open to the public. HCS is partnering with Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge for a release on Thursday, June 18, from 3 to 6 p.m. Two additional releases will be held at Butterfly Park, 320 Marlboro St. in Keene, on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The self-guided events will feature gardens, music, pop-up shops and time for reflection, along with the butterfly releases. Organizers said the Rindge event offers a particularly serene setting, with the Cathedral of the Pines known for its history of honoring veterans and military service members.

Saturdayโ€™s event will include a Family Day, with activities for children such as coloring sheets and temporary tattoos in a celebratory atmosphere.

The events will be held rain or shine. Butterflies must be ordered in advance by May 15 at hcsservices.org/shop.
