100+ Women Who Care Cheshire County selected Home Healthcare Hospice & Community Services Palliative Care Services as the recipient of its collective donations at its Feb. 2 meeting.
HCS provides person-centered guidance, emotional support and care coordination for patients with serious illness, including help with advance directives and access to resources through a certified social work team. The organization reported it has already assisted two patients using the donation.
Since November 2016, the group has grown to more than 354 members and contributed over $687,372 to local nonprofits. Members donate $50 quarterly.
The next meeting is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. May 4 at Monadnock Covenant Church, 90 Base Hill Road, Keene. Refreshments begin at 5:30 p.m.
